Social Responsibility

We at Venture Forth recognise our responsibility to the broader community and to nature conservation and offer of our time and resources to further these causes. Please have a look at some of the projects we are involved in and maybe you too can get involved with these projects or be motivated to do something in your own community.

Although we are a small company with limited resources; if you have a social or conservation cause that can do with our help please feel free to contact us and possibly we can assist you.

The Active Schools Initiative

The “Active Schools Initiative” was founded in 2006 in order to promote physical activity and games as a means to further social and communication skills at primary school level. Those skills are important in order to prevent violent behaviour and strengthen the development of a positive self concept - as well as social responsibility and empathy.

In order to become socially responsible adults, children have to be sensitized for their own needs as well as for the needs of others. The social environment of low-income communities often doesn’t equip families to provide these basic aspects of socialisation. Venture Forth provided, free of charge, consultation services for the construction of a climbing wall at a school and will be training and assessing volunteer adult leaders as Top-Rope Supervisors to facilitate rock climbing adventures for the students. The MDT has kindly waived all registration fees for the courses and assessments.
