Illegal guides fined

The Department of Tourism has been on a drive to warn and fine illegal guides and they have specifically been targeting the adventure industry. Fines for illegal guiding is long overdue and it is time that guiding companies make sure their guides are qualified and registered for the safety of the clients. Clients should not be afriad to ask for registration cards and qualifications to make sure they are actually paying a guide and not an actor. Get trained, get assessed, get legal! Well done to the Department of Tourism for taking illegal guiding seriously.
