First Aid Training
Over the years of operating in the adventure industry, Venture Forth realised the need for high quality first aid training for both urban and wilderness environments. Too many of our students and assessment candidates struggled to find appropriate first aid training and felt that the courses they attended were a “waste of time” and “substandard quality”.
First aid training specifically aimed at those working and wandering in the wilderness environment was also completely unavailable in South Africa although very popular internationally.
In 2004 Venture Forth founded sister company Wild Medix to address this need for quality emergency care training. Wild Medix was the first company in South Africa to offer wilderness specific first aid training courses.
Wild Medix specialises in Wilderness & Urban First-Aid Training as well as Event & Expedition Medical Support. We also supply equipment and consumables for emergency medical care, rope rescue and wilderness search & rescue.
Wild Medix provides Emergency First Response, internationally accredited first aid courses, and wilderness specific courses designed for the African outdoors.Wild Medix is an accredited American Heart Association training organisation offering various courses suited to schools and also the Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers course aimed at refreshing the CPR skills of medical professionals and earning them CPD points.
